We started our work with podme doing thorough research to gain a deeper understanding of how current customers use Podme and other services today. The learnings and insights provided the basis and ensured a continuous customer-driven design processes moving forward.
Our work at podme covered the full product design delivery. From conducting insightful research to planning and executing usability tests, and preparing final handover designs. Every step was aimed at enhancing the user experience.
Brand Update
One of the issues the Podme app was facing was the lack of visual direction and consistent UI components. In the fall of 2022 Podme commissioned a design agency to help reshape their brand identity. This was a great opportunity for us tu review and upgrade the digital design system while giving a well needed face lift to the app.

In almost every service the search feature is crucial. And we knew that our users had issues with finding relevant content on our platsform During our time we could improve: - Inconsistency in structure - Inconsistency in flow between iOS and Android platforms - Bad search result quality


Product design
Creating Library
During the deep interviews that were conducted with current Podme users during the fall of 2022 we discovered that many of our listeners were not using My Podcast page and Feed (later Episode) page on a day to day basis as it was intended to. The participants expressed that their main goal is to reach the latest released episodes as soon as possible after opening the app, and today this flow is interrupted with the Home screen, and the tabs on the Episode page. This project is aiming to learn how we can redesign these pages to give more value to our users.
