Project Humans

Reveal, understand, & challenge cognitive biases

We all like to think of ourselves as open-minded, impartial people but the truth is we all have biases and prejudices.

We build associations deep in our minds. Humans have been doing this for hundreds of thousands of years. It’s a primitive function which evolved to keep us alive.

Here in the 21st century, we need to be ever conscious of the impact cognitive biases can have on our work, social interactions, and our decision making abilities. Applying critical thinking to the torrent of information which reaches our eyes and ears every day.

Working closely with associate professors of psychology at Uppsala university, we are carefully building a webapp where curious minds can learn more about how these biases are formed, and how with some focus and training, they can be mitigated.

Project Humans is one of the many things coming out of Common Ground's Playground initiative. Playground is a space for ideas, experimentation and learning, where anyone working with us can dig deeper into their interests or explore an idea that makes them tick.
